Aggregate Search Overview
Aggregate search is one of Newforma Konekt’s core features. It provides a single interface to search a project for all available sources of information, including issues, submittals, RFIs, emails, and files.
It enables you to search for text through all project items in a single project. Simply click the Search everything field (located in the header), select where to search from the drop-down list, then enter the text you are looking for. Clicking on the desired item will redirect you to the activity center for that item where you can investigate further.
In the example below, Newforma Konekt searches through all items in the project for all instances of “door”. The search results are grouped by type with the searched text highlighted, so that you and your team can find the information you need fast, to make informed decisions.
When using aggregate search, the following information is searched:
Project item | Search criteria |
Issues | Title and number. You can also use the search, filter and sort options available in the Issues page (see Search for and Filter Issues). When searching in the Issues page, title, number, description (including viewpoint comments), comments, and attachments (names only). |
Emails | Header (subject, sender, recipients), body and attachments. The search results can be refined by various filters in the Emails page (see Search for and Filter Project Emails). |
RFIs, Submittals and Change management | All fields (except Disciplines), workflow actions and attachments. Please note that we don’t support search for multiple words (the whole string must match). You can also filter and sort items by wide range of criteria in the RFIs and Submittals pages. |
Files | File and folder names. Please note that search is not available for Autodesk Docs files. You can navigate to the Files page to sort by any of the columns. |
Note: The maximum indexing character length of an attachment contents is 200,000
