Change Proposal Overview (Beta)

Change proposals (CP) are the contractor’s response to a proposed change in contract sum, contract time, or requirements (outside of the scope of a contract and/or the provisions of its changes clause) in response to a proposal request or a construction change directive. The CP contains an itemized breakdown of cost/time changes to a contract.
CP workflow
The following diagram shows an overview of the CP workflow. Not all steps have to be used.
- The contractor can create or log a CP proactively. The architect reviews and advises the owner.
- Optionally, the change proposal can be forwarded for review to other project team members (reviewers).
- The reviewer(s) review to the change proposal. The CP author can also submit a response on behalf of another person.
- The architect can accept or reject the CP. Rejection may occur if all items in the proposal request are not covered.
