Create or Log a CP (Beta)

Project admins, creators, and editors can create a change proposal if they originate them, or log a received change proposal if it was sent to them.

  1. In Newforma Konekt, open the desired project.
  2. In the main menu, under Project menu, select Change management.
  3. Click Create change item at the top-right corner of the page.
  4. From the dialog box that opens, select Change proposal (CP) and complete the information as needed. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk (*).
    Field Description
    Log a received CP Mark the checkbox if the CP was sent to you. You will need to complete the following:
    • From* – Select the project team member who sent the CP. By default, your name is entered in this field. You can also enter an email address in this field.
    • Received via* – Select the method in which this CP was received from the drop-down list.
    • Received date* – Select the date the CP was received. By default, the current date is selected.
    • Sender number – Enter the number the contractor gave to the CP.
    Subject* Enter the subject of the PR.
    Number Enter the identification number of the CP. By default, the number starts with CP but you can modify it.
    Due date The date by which the contact who received the CP needs to complete it.
    To* Select the project team member(s) that will be responsible for the CP.
    Purpose* Select the purpose of the CP from the drop-down list.
    • New quote
    • Updated quote
    Proposed total amount Enter the proposed total amount for the CP and select a currency.
    Proposed total days Enter the proposed number of days the change proposal would take.
    Description Enter a description for the CP.
    Reasons Select one or more reasons for the CP.
    • Owner’s request
    • RFIs
    • Submittals
    • Reviewing agency request
    • Request for substitution
    • Changed conditions
    • Improved information
    • Field condition
    • Design document change
    Disciplines Select one or more disciplines from the drop-down list. The disciplines in this list come from the Project settings page.
    Keywords Enter the keyword you want to add, then click Enter or select the matching keyword, if it exists.
  5. To include any additional files with the CP, click Browse or drag and drop the desired files.
  6. Click Create or Log. The status will change to Pending if you are creating the CP or Open if you are logging the CP. An email notification will be sent to the users in the To field.
