IFC Schema Support for Add-In Exports
Each add-in supports specific IFC schema versions for export. The supported versions vary by tool and by version of that tool.
Revit Add-In
The Revit add-in supports the following IFC schema versions for export, by Revit version:
| Add-in version | IFC 2×3 | IFC 4 | IFC 4.3 | IFC 4.3 ADD2 |
| 2027 | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ⚠️ |
| 2026 | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ⚠️ |
| 2025 | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ⚠️ |
| 2024 | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
| 2023 | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
Across all add-in versions, IFC 2×3 is the most recommended schema for export. The ⚠️ symbol indicates that the schema is supported but may produce inconsistent results.
Revit 2023, 2024, and 2025 support manual export to IFC 4.3. Revit 2025 and later use the Addendum 2 (ADD2) schema, which the viewer partially supports. See IFC Schema Support in the 2D/3D Viewer.
Archicad Add-In
