Isolate Elements – Add-ins

When working in the authoring software, the elements that were selected while creating an issue can be isolated by selecting the Isolate elements command from the issue’s drop-down menu. This tool allows the user to easily hide any interfering elements, making the issue at hand extremely accessible.

Save Selected Elements

When creating an issue, it is best practice to select the elements in question. This facilitates the use of the Isolate Elements command across all platforms. Notice the three pieces of plumbing that are protruding through the wall. In the issue preview the pipes are highlighted blue. When we use the isolate command, we’ll be restricted to just those three pieces.

At this point in time we can select anything else we want isolated in relation to this issue and use the Update from current view (including view state) command.
