Deleting filed emails from the Outlook add-in

Introduction

It is not possible to reinstate a deleted email.

Project owners and admins can now delete emails filed to a project from the Outlook add-inn and the Emails activity center.

This feature takes into account the need to keep relevant information in the right projects, and limit irrelevant information in the projects. The following are examples of uses cases that would require using the Delete email feature:

  • The email contains sensitive organization information.
  • The email was filed in the wrong project.
  • The email filed was a user’s personal email.

Delete filed emails from the Outlook add-in

  1. Open the Outlook email add-in.
  2. Select a project.
  3. Click on the drop down menu at the top of the add-in and select Project Email.
  4. Click on the Three dots icon at the right of the email card. The Action menu opens.
  5. Click on Delete. A confirmation window opens.
  6. Click on Delete in the confirmation to confirm the deletion.
