Deleting filed emails from a project

Introduction

It is not possible to reinstate a deleted email.

Project owners and admins can now delete emails filed to a project from the Emails activity center and the Outlook add-inn.

This feature takes into account the need to keep relevant information in the right projects, and limit irrelevant information in the projects. The following are examples of uses cases that would require using the Delete email feature:

  • The email contains sensitive organization information.
  • The email was filed in the wrong project.
  • The email filed was a user’s personal email.

Delete a filed email from a project

To delete a filed email from a project, follow the steps below:

  1. In Newforma Konekt select the desired project.
  2. Click on Emails in the Project menu on the left side of the window. The Emails page opens.
  3. Find the email you want to delete in the list.
  4. Click on the Three dots on the right side of the email. The Action menu opens.
  1. Click on Delete in the Action menu. The Delete email confirmation window opens.
  2. Click on Delete in the Delete email confirmation window.

Users can also delete an email from the Details window by following the steps below:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 above to access the emails you want to delete in the Emails activity center.
  2. Click on the email you want to delete. The Details panel opens.
  3. Click on the Three dots at the top right of the right side panel. The Action menu appears.
  1. Click on Delete. The Delete email confirmation window appears.
  2. Click on Delete in the Delete email confirmation window to confirm the deletion.
