About the Toolbar – NextGen Viewer (Beta)
The NextGen Viewer is currently available in beta. We invite all users to provide feedback about the new experience via the Ideas portal.
The toolbar lets you access the available navigation and clipping tools when viewing files.
- Left click – Use the selected navigation mode by clicking with the left mouse button.
- Hold right click – Orbit by clicking with the right mouse button. The behavior won’t change based on the selected mode.
- Hold middle click – Pan by clicking with the middle scroll wheel. The behavior won’t change based on the selected mode.
- Hold scroll wheel – Zoom in or out by scrolling the mouse wheel. The behavior won’t change based on the selected mode.

This table lists the tools available from the toolbar when viewing models and sheets.

Orbit | Rotate around a specific point in the model or the void by using left click + drag. The behavior will vary based on the location of the selected point.
If you click in the void, the point of interest will be the center of the view (center of the displayed models). If you select elements or use a section box, it will rotate around the middle of the selection box (markers or elements). |

Pan | Move horizontally and vertically by using left click + drag. | ||
Zoom | Zoom in or out by using left click + drag. | ||
Select | Select elements or pinpoints by holding the Ctrl key and clicking with the left mouse button.
To deselect elements, use Ctrl + click or Esc. |

Measure | Use the measuring tools to measure distances and dimensions of 3D elements.

Clipping plane | Apply a clipping plane. Click the arrow to align the clipping plane to one of the predetermined directions. You can also move (translate) and rotate the plane along the XYZ axes.
When you apply a clipping plane, it will be applied at the same level as the sheet instead of the middle of the building. |

Clipping box | Apply a clipping box. Use the following tools to manipulate the clipping box.

Ortho./Persp. | Change the view from perspective to orthographic and vice versa. | N/A | |
Show/hide pinpoints | When you’re in the issue list, this will show or hide pinpoints. A pinpoint is generated automatically when using the Clashes to Issues command in the Navisworks environment.
A pinpoint can also manually be placed with the Localize Issue command. |

Show/hide cameras | When you’re in the issue list, this will show or hide cameras. Whenever an issue is sent to Newforma Konekt, regardless of the platform involved, the location is recorded. | ||
Show/hide | When elements are selected, this will show (S key), hide (H key) or isolate (Crtl + shift + H) selected elements. After isolating elements, you can restore (show all) the hidden elements (Ctrl + Shift + S).
It is also possible to access these options by using the right mouse button in the model tree and the viewing area. |

View all | Zoom to the extents of the displayed models. It will zoom on the current view of the sheet. | ||
Reset view | Reset the view that was originally displayed when you opened the models. It will zoom in on the sheet’s current view. |
