Resolve Integration with Newforma Konekt

Resolve integration with Newforma Konekt enables you to import any issues found in VR back into Newforma Konekt for a fully integrated VR review workflow. Once your model is in VR with Resolve you can take full advantage of their collaboration tools to expand the capabilities of your BIM reviews. Anything you find in VR can be imported back into Newforma Konekt using Resolve’s BCF export.
This article provides an overview of how to create issues using the Resolve app.
Things to know
Here are some things to know before you get started.
- Resolve works on Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro. No PC required.
- Resolve and the BCF export will keep all the 3D information associated with the issues, meaning your team has the ability to review them in-context from the Newforma Konekt viewer or other platforms like Navisworks.
Issue creation overview
Below is a general overview of how to create annotations in Resolve. For more information, watch this short video.
- If not already done, download the Resolve app on the Quest Store.
- Upload and open your model. You can upload your file directly to Resolve from the web dashboard (see Utilizing Direct File Upload For Model Reviews). When working with ACC or BIM 360 models, Resolve will automatically pulled the latest version.
- Use the speech-to-text functionality to create annotations (see Annotations (Video)).
- From the Resolve web dashboard, you can see all your projects and their annotations. Click a file to access its annotations and export them as BCF (see View and Manage Annotations on the Web).
- Import the annotations into Newforma Konekt, and track them through resolution (see Export/Import Issues as BCF Files).
